To fully utilize the electricity consumption, it is recommended to dry your clothes at maximum load. Avoid drying 1 or 2 pieces of clothing in the dryer as this will waste the electricity. For better energy efficiency, we recommend the Heat Pump dryer. The Heat Pump dryer is 50% more energy saving compared to a traditional dryer. It works heating air in a closed-circuit system, passes it over clothes and recycles the hot air to be used in drying the laundry.
There are several factors that contribute to the overall drying time. One of the key factors is how much moisture is left in the clothing after your washing cycle. The faster the spin speed during the washing cycle, the faster the clothes will dry in the dryer as there is less moisture remaining in the clothing after the final spin. Another factor is the movement of the drum during drying process. Thanks to the Electrolux Reverse Tumbling Technology, the drum rotates in the reverse action alternatively so that the laundry dries more quickly and evenly.
A sensor dryer will have 3 drying features for you to choose to dry your different types of clothing. They are the following:
1. Extra Dry: Drying thick materials e.g. Jeans, bath towels etc.
2. Normal Dry: Drying normal materials e.g. T-shirts, under garments etc.
3. Iron Dry: Those materials that you need to iron e.g. shirts. (Clothing at the end of this program will not be 100% dry but still contain moisture, so that when you iron it will be much easier).
All you need to do is to choose among the above drying programs according to the fabric thickness. Once the selected program sensor has sensed the clothing in the drum are dried it will automatically stop. Therefore, there are no guessing setting drying times like the mechanical time dryer.
